SIGNPOSTING OF TOURIST LANDMARKS AND TOURIST INFORMATION POINTS

Tourist signposts

By offering visitors correct signposting of the historic and cultural heritage in the town, we make it easier for them to move around the town while at the same time allowing us to promote and highlight little-known areas.

It was therefore necessary to carry out a study of signposting needs that would allow us to assess the current situation correctly, determine existing needs and act in consequence, by modifying or incorporating new signs. All this also had to take into account the visual element of signage placed within the setting of the town.

Below are the three types of different signs that have been introduced: welcome signs, signs relating to historic buildings and signs giving distances.

Interpretation Centre

In 2005, the Tourism Excellence Programme gave rise to a new space, located at number 4, calle Grimaldi, as a Tourist Information Office – Interpretation Centre.

The inclusion of interactive technologies and multimedia equipment was planned as a presentation strategy, with the aim of bringing visitors closer not only to the historic heritage of this Royal Site but also to its food, festivals, businesses, cultural activities, and so on.

Parque Botánico Zaburdón

The appearance of the Botanical Park has been improved and a recreational area has been created.
