The Collaboration Agreement, signed on 13th October 2003 between the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, the Department of Economics and Technological Innovation of the Madrid Community, the Town Hall of San Lorenzo de El Escorial and the Businessmen’s Association of the town (AESLE), for the development of a Plan of Tourism Excellence for San Lorenzo de El Escorial, is a decided commitment for the cooperation in starting up a complete program, both spatially as well as from the point of view of the persons involved, whose objective is the improvement of the destination.

The Tourism Excellence Plan of San Lorenzo de El Escorial (2003-2005) has a total of 1,620,000 €, in which the three involved administrations contribute equal financing according to the following table:
