We leave La Lonja (1) through the Arcos (Arches) de la Compaña, we turn to the right between the CarreroBlancoPark and the University Mª Cristina, and we go up the avenue Conde de Aranda until we reach the Arca del Romeral (2) at the foot of the dam with the same name.

On its side, three stairs start from where the path appears, and ascend next to the dam and then you start to move away little by little from the wire fence, always going up, parallel to the Arroyo del Romeral until it reaches a grey gate with a spring: here we cross the route of the Cordel del Valle. It keeps ascending in front of the gate until we reach the highway. (Be careful to not get off course to the left, getting confused by the wooden arrows that follow the route of the Woods).

Once on the highway, right in front, the Camino de los Gallegos (3) starts. [At around 300 m. to the right on the highway is the Fuente de la Concha]. A little before leaving the Camino de los Gallegos, to your right is the fountain of the Trampalón. This path takes us directly to the meadows that are at the foot of the Puerto (Pass) de Malagón (4).

Once on it, we cross the “Finnish pass” and turn onto a wide trail that comes out on the left. We follow it until we reach, to the right, a fountain-trough (5) and the meadows that give rise to the Arroyo del Hornillo [it is the valley parallel to the Dam and the Arroyo del Tobar]

There is no marked path, but it can’t be missed because you only have to follow the riverbed that leads us directly to the pine forest. Once there we take a path parallel to the Arroyo, among the pines that ends up in a forest trail; we travel it for a few metres until we notice that they separate. At this time we cross the stream. At this point, we stop advancing parallel to the stream and we go along the slope without losing height following the walls parallel to the stream. We return to the stream through a quite steep “street” where we meet up once again with the pine forest and a small group of poplars. The path appears once again at the left order. It is only a few minutes from here to the Cascada (6). (Once we reach and start going down its left side we arrive at a forest trail that leads to a recreational area next to the bridge of the Arena river, on the highway that links Robledondo with Santa Maria de la Alameda).
