San Lorenzo de El Escorial is located to the north-west within the Madrid Community, at an altitude of 1,032 m, on the south-eastern slope of the Sierra de Guadarrama, at the foot of Monte Abantos.

We cannot end our visit without enjoying the marvels that nature can offer us. Its natural charms and value have led to the pine forest, the Pinar de Abantos, being declared to be a site of great beauty, or Paisaje Pintoresco, in 1961 and to the Herrería being designated a Wood of special ecological interest in 1995.

For this reason, we propose the following routes:
